Pair Of Guys Movers started in 2017 with two guys, one rented truck, and a lot of Westside Atlanta driveways. Damon Whitaker ran the dolly and Reggie Sutton ran the schedule, and neighbors kept asking for the pair of guys who showed up on time. The name stuck. Today we own our trucks, we keep our crew on W-2 payroll, and we still answer to the same two owners.
How we got here
- 2017: Damon and Reggie book their first jobs around East Atlanta and Kirkwood on weekends.
- 2019: The first owned 26-ft truck replaces the rental, and the crew grows to four.
- 2021: We lease the yard at 1455 Murphy Ave SW, just off I-20 on the Westside.
- 2023: Long-distance lanes open across the Southeast out of Georgia.
- 2025: Two full crews run daily, one Westside and one Eastside, plus over-the-road work.
What we actually do
Values are easy to print and hard to keep. Here is how ours show up on move day.
- We start rush-window jobs at 5am to beat the Downtown Connector and I-285.
- We wrap every dresser and box-spring before it clears the doorway, not after.
- We give a flat figure so the clock is never a surprise at the BeltLine loading dock.
- We send the same faces back, because our movers stay on payroll.
